Pauker Flashcard Program

Pauker is a generic flashcard program written in Java. It uses a combination of ultra-shortterm, shortterm, and longterm memory. You can use it to learn all the things you never want to forget, like vocabulary, capitals, important dates, etc.

Instructions for using the RHCE Flashcards with the Pauker Flashcard Program

1. Download the pauker XML file below.
2. Run pauker from the Java Webstart link below.

How These Slides Were Created

These slides were produced using OpenOffice.org Impress.

1. Created Slides
2. Saved as html
3. Copied contents of html between body tags to .page files.
   • Used a bash shell script with sed, and awk to get the files to appear properly for webgen. See script here—/download/shell/html2page.html
4. Ran webgen on the directory to generate .html

OpenOffice.org Impress has a plugin called OpenCards to view a slideshow as flashcards.

1. Download the .odp version of the presentation.
